Country 1000 Today’s KXRB is the area’s original fulltime Country Music station since 1969!  Now 24 hours a day, KXRB combines only the greatest classic country hits of the past with the very best country hits of today.  KXRB is a “Full Service” radio station with great country music, serving a target audience of 35-65, covering portions of 5 states.

 

KXRB provides music, local/national news, weather, sports and agricultural information presented live by an experienced staff interested in and knowledgeable of country music.  Listeners have depended on KXRB for over 40 years for music, entertainment, information and more!

 


 

Community Involvement:

Heavily involved with on-air promotions, in-studio interviews and fund raising for a number of area and regional charities.  News Director Jerry Dahmen also raises funds by giving presentations at numerous church, college and service group functions about his “I Love Life” books, CD’s and KXRB radio program.

 

Music Format:

On KXRB you’ll hear the music that made Country Music great by artists like George Jones, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Charley Pride and Loretta Lynn along with contemporary artists like Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney and Carrie Underwood.

 

The KXRB Morning Show:

KXRB Morning Show host Mark Tassler and award winning News Director Jerry Dahmen anchor the show, featuring news, weather, sports, market reports with Sid Pederson and the world’s greatest redneck Earl Pitts!  The greatest country music in the world is featured throughout the show, along with contests and listeners calling in with wit and wisdom!  Jerry get the early news on at 5:30 and the Morning Show airs weekdays from 6AM-10AM!

 

Mid-Days:

The Professor of Country Music Joe Morrison shares his love and knowledge of country music from 10AM-1PM.  The region’s best know country music personality, Joe spins the country classics and there’s market updates hourly!

 

Afternoons:

Randy McDaniel hosts the “McDaniel Mess”, great classic country music with a twist!  The “Pop Culture Pop Quiz” and “Country Music Artist Truth Or Lie”, Jerry Dahmen News Updates and lots of fun make this a ‘Mess’ you don’t want to miss!  Weekday afternoons 3PM-6PM.

 

 

 

 

 

Special Features:

 

The Legends come alive on Classic Country Saturday!  Hank Williams, Left Frizzell, Kitty Wells, Tex Ritter, Little Jimmy Dickens, George Jones, Bill Anderson, Brenda Lee, Buck Owens, Eddy Arnold, Ernest Tubb, Faron Young…the list goes on and on and on.  The legendary artists with the legendary songs for 24 hours every Saturday!

 

Cowboy Legend Red Steagall opens the bunkhouse Friday Nights at 6PM with Cowboy Corner!  Old West stories, poems and music make for an hour of Cowboy fun and history!

 

Rowdy Yates hosts Country Gold Friday Nights at 7PM and Sunday afternoons at 4PM.  If there’s a classic from the ‘70’s, 80’s and ‘90’s, you’ll hear it on “Country Gold”!

 

Craig “Catfish” Hunter has 25 Years Of Hits every Saturday at 8PM and Sundays at 2PM.  Catfish ‘counts-em-up”…the number one hits for this week over the past twenty five years!

 

Grand Ol Opry star Jim Ed Brown hosts Country Music Greats every Saturday night at 10PM.  Interviews with the classic country stars, stories and of course, the greatest country music ever recorded!

 

National Award Winner Bob Kingsley counts down the 40 biggest hits in Country Music every Sunday on American Country Countdown!  The show airs Sundays at high noon with an encore Sunday nights at 8PM.

 

The “Voice Of Area Racing”, KXRB’s own Mark Tassler hosts Race Track Live Monday nights from 6:30PM-8:00PM, April through September.

 

Jerry Dahmen’s original award winning program I Love Life features guests with stories of hope, faith and inspiration.  The show airs weekdays at 12:50PM and Sunday Mornings at 9AM.
