“Today’s KXRB” is the area’s original full-time country music station since 1969, now 24 hours a day.   KXRB combines only the best Country Classics from the 70’S and 80’s with a mix of 90’s and Today’s Country hits.

With 10,000 watts on the A.M. band, KXRB is a “Full Service” station with music, serving a target audience, 35-65,  in portions of 5 states.

KXRB provides music, local/national news, weather, sports and agricultural information presented “Live” by an experienced staff, interested in and knowledgeable of country music.  Listeners have depended on KXRB nearly 40 years for music, entertainment and information, whether it be a rodeo in Clear Lake, a fishing tournament in Chamberlin or a country music concert in Sioux Falls.    

Community Activities:
Heavily involved with on-air promotions, in-studio interviews and fund raising for the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Sioux Falls Humane Society, Food Bank and Banquet. Jerry Dahmen also raises funds by giving presentations at numerous church, college and service group functions about his “I Love Life” books, CD’s and KXRB program.

Music Format:
On KXRB you’ll hear music that made country great by artists like George Jones, Merle Haggard and Patsy Cline along with more contemporary artists such as Brooks and Dunn, Kenny Chesney and Lee Ann Womack.

The KXRB Morning Show with Mark Tassler and Jerry Dahmen:
Mark spins his humor with lively country music,  a “10 minute weather guarantee”, overnight news every half-hour, beginning at 5:30am,  with Jerry Dahmen. Jerry is the recipient of several coveted Edward R. Murrow and Peabody awards for his news excellence. Country News is featured at 6:20 and 8:20 each morning plus “Live” 60 second stockyard and commodity reports are heard between 6:50 and 9:30am. Guests stop by the studio to visit about area events and Mark covers NASCAR and local racing activities. Listen weekday mornings 6-10am.

Mid-Days:
From 10am-2pm,  Joe Morrison shares his love and  knowledge of country music, his association with country artists and KXRB listeners. Historical and current country news can be heard along with “Live Ag Updates”, breaking national/regional and local news as warranted and a lot of great country music!

Afternoons:
One of the area’s best known radio and/or television personalities, “Ratt” Reno…a KXRB veteran since 1969, provides a relaxed, informal show with a lot of humor, listener participation and country music from 2-6pm. 

Evenings and Weekends:
Shane Michaels, 6-10pm: Jake Tyler, 3-6am; and Harvey Lee, Saturdays and Sunday morning, keep the country hits rollin’ on “Today’s KXRB”!

…Veteran Grand Ole Opry announcer and Nashville’s WSM radio personality, Keith Bilbrey, tells stories of country music,  interviews the artists and plays Country Classics as you hear them only on KXRB…10am-Noon Sundays. 

“Bob Kingsley’s Top 40 Countdown”
…A veteran of his own countdown show for over 20 years, you’ll hear “Today’s Country” hits from #40 to #1 every Sunday, Noon-4pm.

Grand Ole Opry Live
from the historic Grand Ole Opry in Nashville you’ll hear recent “Live” performances by Grand Ole Opry members…4-6pm Sundays.

Augustana Football
…Sports Director, Jeff Fylling, provides play-by-play college action of the Augustana Vikings each August through November.

“Race Track Live”
…The “Voice of area racing”, KXRB’s Mark Tassler, broadcasts area racing news and driver interviews every Monday evening, 6:30-8pm, April through September.

“I Love Life”
…Jerry Dahmen’s original award winning program of hope and inspiration is heard weekdays at 12:50pm and Sundays at 9am.

“Day In The Country”
…this day in country music history weekdays at 11:20am, 5:20 and 7:20pm.

“Country Dirt Live”
