Listen to what MIX 97-3 sounds like:
You don’t work in an elevator, so your radio at work shouldn’t sound like one! That’s why we created MIX 97-3…an upbeat mix of music from the 80’s, 90’s and today. The mission of MIX 97-3 is one of Fun, Family, Companionship, Community and Great Music Variety. Who’s in the Mix? Adults 25-49, with a special emphasis on females 25-44. The working professional…with a family…that still likes to be hip and have fun! Why does the Sioux Empire get in to the Mix? Maybe it’s because we’re not an un-manned jukebox. When a listener calls MIX 97-3, you hear a friendly voice on the other end of the phone, who is plugged in to the community. No matter if you’re calling for the name of a song, wondering how to win a MIX 97-3 “Office Call” or inquiring if soccer is still a go…if it’s important to you and happening in the Sioux Empire, we’re talking about it on MIX 97-3. Music What is Mix music? It’s a wider variety of today’s Hot Adult Contemporary Hits. An upbeat mix of songs from the 80’s, 90’s and today, that’s never old, boring and sleepy! A music mix that works at work! Listen to Mix 97-3 for 30 minutes and you’ll hear Your Mix from artists like: Sheryl Crow, Maroon 5, Nickelback, Avril Lavigne, Matchbox 20, Bon Jovi, Madonna, the Goo Goo Dolls and more! The music you love, from the artists you know, that’s MIX 97-3…Sioux Falls Best Mix of the 80’s, 90’s and Today! The Ben and Patty Show The Mix in the Morning is Ben Davis and Patty Dee…the Sioux Empire’s longest running morning show, they’ve been together for 12 years now. Their brand of morning radio can be summed up in three words…Fun, Community and You. Each morning Ben and Patty invite you in to the Mix for a little news, weather, humor, and compelling conversation on topics like-- “Hot or Cold Water when you brush your teeth? --- “What defunct Sioux Falls hot spot would you like to see come back?” --- “What tricks did your siblings play on you when you were young?” They never miss an opportunity to get behind a worthy cause, whether it’s a fundraiser for a large organization or helping out a Sioux Empire family in need. Fun, interesting and never off color… the Ben and Patty Show, weekday mornings from 6-10 on Mix 97-3. Karla Brown The midday on MIX 97-3 is designed with the working woman in mind and that’s where Karla Brown comes in. Karla has been doing 10:00-2:00 on MIX 97-3 for 11 years. During that time she has built a close relationship with her listeners…she says it’s like talking to hundreds of her friends at one time. We’ll talk about “American Idol”, the newest weight loss tips, Hollywood gossip, what’s happening on “Desperate Housewives” and of course interesting facts about Mix music. People all over the Sioux Empire are finding out that the work day flies by with Karla Brown and the 9 to 6 “At Work Mix” on MIX 97-3. Jeff Harkness As the 9 to 6 “At Work Mix” winds down, Jeff Harkness steps in weekday afternoons from 2:00-6:00. Jeff delivers a variety of odd, offbeat, and interesting stories from around the world, as well as testing listeners' knowledge with the 'Top Ten Challenge' and the 'Quittin' Time Quiz'. In 1989, Jeff moved to Sioux Falls to become the Sports Director at KSFY-TV and has been with MIX 97-3 since January of 2000.
