Listen to what HOT 104.7 sounds like:

HOT 104.7 is Sioux Falls Hottest MusicWebsite:  http://www.hot1047.com/

What is it about Hot 104.7 that makes it “hot?” It’s different.
A lot of stations just announce the songs and tell you what they’re next mediocre giveaway is in a slightly better than average voice. That automatically makes them background noise. Hot 104.7 is focused on

breaking out of that use and forcing people to pay attention. Hot strives to entertain the 18-44 year old female listener from every angle. While these are the listeners we’re going after, we draw in everyone that wants to have fun listening to the radio. Hot 104.7’s music is comprised of only the biggest hits in Pop music. The contests and promotions give listeners the chance to win the most desirable prizes and be at the biggest concerts and events in and around the Sioux Empire. And the Hot DJs don’t just announce songs and read promo cards. They entertain with compelling content and interactivity with the listener.

HOT Music

What is the number one reason a person tunes in to a music radio station? Of course it’s the music, and Hot 104.7 plays all of Today's Hottest Music, not just one genre of music. When you listen to most music stations, you only get one flavor of music. With Hot 104.7 you get all of the best in Rock, Pop, Adult, and Alternative music, along with only the biggest hits in Urban Music. Playing the hottest hits from artists like Kelly Clarkson, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, 3 Doors Down, and the Black Eyed Peas, Hot 104.7 is truly playing Today’s Hottest Music.

Trav and Tammy – Weekdays 6a-10a

un·pre·dict·a·ble : Difficult to foretell or foresee

If you go to the movies with your friends and someone in the group says: “Let’s go see this movie!” Then someone else says: “No, let’s not. I’ve already seen that one. Besides it was just like this other movie I saw.” Everyone likes to see a movie. It’s an escape from the world, if only for little while. But if you’ve already seen the movie, you know what’s coming; you can predict the whole thing. Or if it’s a bad movie, it was probably already predictable. It’s the same thing with a radio morning show. You don’t want to hear the same thing day in and day out. You may really like the characters, but you don’t want the same story, you want to hear the next part of the story, or the next great sequel. Every morning with Trav and Tammy is the next great sequel.

When something happens in the world, happens locally, or happens in their own lives, Trav and Tammy will talk about it and, more than likely, lampoon it. Trav and Tammy in the Morning, from the listener’s perspective, is a show that gives a view into the lives of two people on the radio. Their everyday lives, from Tammy's gall bladder surgery to Trav mangling himself sleepwalking, are all on display for the world to hear about. When you listen to Trav and Tammy, you're hearing a show that's real, not invented, and never predictable. They have fun with each other, the people who come into the studio, and with the listeners who call in.

Frankie - 10a-2p

Frankie entertains the Sioux Empire from 10am-2pm every Monday through Friday on Hot 104.7.  Who’s listening?  Young, hip moms who like to stay up to date on trends, fashion, and of course, MUSIC. Things you’ll hear on Frankie’s show include  “Dear Frankie” which is a fun and fresh, often times funny advice segment.  The “Friday Fashion Flash” keeps you up to date on what trends are hitting the runway, and will soon be hitting your closet.  From Noon to 1pm each day, she serve up requests on the “All Request Hot Lunch.” Frankie also drops the hottest music news, putting her own quirky spin on delivering the latest info on the music we play, the songs that are hot, and the artists that make it that way.

Andy - 2p-6p

When you were a kid, did you have an imaginary friend? An invisible somebody who was always around to keep you company. That’s Andy, sitting right next to you in your car talking about things that happen in everyday life. “What is in your car right now and is it causing a smell?” “I got too much change for my lunch and kept it. Is that bad?” Those are the types of things you’re likely to hear, along with “Andy’s Answering Machine.” Contests aren’t “be caller x and you win” with Andy. He makes listeners earn their prizes with games like “The Really, Really Hard Question,” “Is it on eBay,” and “Dude Named Doug.” And, unlike a lot of afternoon personalities, he’s actually in the studio to answer the phone, not sitting elsewhere listening to his pre-recorded show.

Jonny V - 6p-11p

If a DJ could be a superhero, it would be Jonny V. Rescuing the bored radio listener from pre-recorded night shows with his high energy live show, Jonny connects with the nighttime atmosphere of the Sioux Empire. Every Monday through Thursday he counts down the most requested songs of the day on the Hot 9 at 9. Then on Fridays at 8pm, Jonny kicks off the weekend party right with the Friday Night Party Zone, mixing all of Today’s Hottest Music back to back.
