| Dave Roberts Named "Broadcaster of the Year" |

 Dave Roberts, Program Director of 1140 KSOO of Results Radio/Cumulus Media in Sioux Falls, SD, was honored as the “2007 Broadcaster of the Year” by the South Dakota Broadcasters Association (SDBA) at their Annual State Executive Conference held July 19 & 20 at the ClubHouse Hotel & Suites in Sioux Falls, SD.
The “Broadcaster of the Year” Award is presented each year to honor a person in broadcasting who has been especially active during the past year in community affairs.
Dave volunteered his time as producer of the South Dakota Vietnam War Memorial Radio Show Broadcast carried live via the internet, in numerous communities across SD through great local radio stations, and right on the Capitol Grounds in Pierre during the events and activities of the VVWM weekend in September 2006. In the months leading up to that special weekend he collected and coordinated the music, interviews, and other features that broadcasters from across South Dakota contributed, and then pulled it all together during that historical event.
Over the past 31 years, Dave has served listeners in eastern South Dakota including Milbank, Redfield, Yankton, Vermillion, and Sioux Falls. While broadcasting is his passion, Dave is also passionate about lending his talents to organizations such as the National Kidney Foundation, Feast of the Great Chef’s, Hope Haven Ministries, and volunteers his time to the Outdoor Campus, Children’s Home Society, and Sioux Falls Cares.
Dave has earned the J.C. Penney Apple Award for holding the first Children’s Miracle Network telethon on an AM radio station. His leadership has earned the NAB Crystal Award, one of the highest recognitions in the radio industry.

He’s well known for carrying on a 71 year broadcast holiday tradition as the host of “A KSOO Christmas Homecoming.”
The SD Broadcasters Association is proud to present the 2007 Broadcaster of the Year Award to Dave Roberts. The SD Broadcasters Association is a trade association that represents South Dakota’s radio and television stations. It provides education, regulatory assistance and legislative representation to its members.
